Woodland and Lakes

There are several blocks of woodland flanking the hall. Throughout the spring earliest delights here include winter aconites, a capret of snowdrops and woodland anemones, followed by daffodils and the native English bluebell. Every area favours slightly different plant communities, from native to some of the more exotic specimens such as the magnolia grove. There is an extensive system of lakes and cascades, which attracts both waterfowl and insect life, creating picturesque reflections of the adjacent water gardens and landscape architecture.
